I, Staci Gildenblatt, am currently part owner and working full time at my family owned advertising company in Arlington, Tx. I have been working there since 2001. I graduated from the University Of North Texas on August 14th, 1993 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. From there, I went on to work for Lincoln Property Company where I leased apartments in Dallas, Tx. That is when my life took a turn, and I started down a destructive path of active addiction for the next 10 years. After numerous attempts of trying to stay clean, my life did not start to change until I finally lost everything I ever loved on this last relapse. It was April 15th, 2017 at my intervention when I completely surrendered to this disease, desperate in turning my will over to a power greater than myself, and started working a program.
The best decision I ever made was coming to Simply Grace on May 25, 2017. I didn’t know how much I needed these women in my life, and how much they needed me. Being around these women early in recovery, I feel I have a gift, and that is maintaining lines of open and honest communication. I love being involved with the girls from the houses, and I do have a motherly love for each of themJ. It helps me not to isolate and totally helps me be of service to others. Anika, and Chloe have been Godsends to all of us, and I would do anything to keep that connection going.
I believe that anyone who desires to be free from the disease of addiction can be. It takes honesty, surrender, and discipline. I entered my REAL RECOVERY 9 months ago when my brother was dying and I lost the love of my life. I have dedicated my life to sobriety since. That includes daily meditation, daily prayer, and a connection to power. My goal is to help other addicts and alcoholics achieve the peace that I have gained by working together.
